"Zero payment"
Posted by Neil Gowers on Oct-03-01 at 05:04 AM (EST)
Is there any way to stop the credit card payment page displaying if the order value is zero? We have some products that currently do not have a price available, but we would like to make available so that interest could be judged.
Thanks for any help.

To prevent zero orders from being placed, refer to the postings by Bill Weiner at-
http://www.uburst.com/dcforum/ushp_general_purpose/97.html
and-
http://www.uburst.com/dcforum/ushop_future/62.html

Which details how to setup a subtotal. That can keep zero orders from being placed, if thats what your aim is.

Hope this helps.

No sorry this is not what I wanted to do. We have some products which are free, but can be ordered from the shop. What I wanted to do was stop the payment window from appering, if the total cost was zero, but also being able to recicive the order.

Aha!
If you need to stop the credit card form from being displayed, in your uShop control panel, under General SettingsYou could also indicate on the order_template.html in plain HTML that those placing zero orders should not place a credit card order, and instead use the "Contact Me" option.
