Everything works except- if you hit the secure order button on the shopping cart page, it brings you to the order form page and the applet is greyed out. Please test at http://www.meyerswildlifestudio.com/MeyersTShirts.html.

Thanks - Debbie

I took a look at your uShop 2.x site, and based on you configuration, try changing the codebase of the applet on your secure order form from:

codebase="http://home/meyer/www/uShopOrderDeluxCGI.class"

to

codebase="http://www.meyerswildlifestudio.com/"

... and that should correct the problem.

I changed the codebase as you suggested and it still doesn't work. What else should I try?

I took another look at your site an saw that you are not getting the following error:

# Applet exception: class uShopOrderDeluxCGI could not be loaded

That is, it looks like the "uShopOrderDeluxeCGI" name in your applet has a typo (it is missing the "e" between the "x" and the "C")... so just make that correction to your order page:

Change:

code="uShopOrderDeluxCGI.class"

to

code="uShopOrderDeluxeCGI.class"

.... and that should resolve the problem.

Thanks - The order goes through - it is written to the orders directory, however the "store" did not receive the email for the order. I checked for typos.

What type of server do you have? Unix or Windows?

If you have a Unix (or Linux) server, then "sendmail" should be working for you. If you have a Windows server, then the "sockets" email method is not working, then do you know what the preferred email method from CGI scripts on your server is? That is, does your server support "Blat" or "WindMail"? (We have versions of the uShop 2.x script that use those different email methods).

Also, be sure to check out items 1.8 and 1.9 on our uShop 2.x troubleshooting page:

http://www.uburst.com/uShop/reference2/troubleshooting.html

... for additional email troubleshooting information.
