Everthing works fine. Orders and receipts are received using both IE and Netscape. The only problem is in Netscape 4.72 when the order is sent a page stating "Error Duplicate Order Number" comes up instead of the confirmation and thank you pages.

Whenever the "Send Order" button is pressed, the order applet generates a random order number and passes it (along with the other order information) onto the ushop_cgiscript. At that point, the ushop_cgiscript will check the "orders" directory to see if an order file with that same order number already exists. If an order file with that order number already exists, then that "Duplicate Order Number" error is returned.

The likelyhood that the randomly generated order number is a duplicate of an order that already exists in your orders directory, is very unlikely - somewhere on the order of 1 in 999,999,999....not that it couldn't occur, but the chance of it occuring twice in row is almost zero. Are you consistently seeing the "Duplicate Order Error"? And if so, are you pressing the "Send Order" button each time - rather than just pressing the browser's "Forward" button? If so, then the only thing I can think of that may cause a problem is if the system time on your computer was totally stopped (since the system time is often used to seed random number generators - but that is out of the hands of uShop since it just uses the standard Java "Random" class).

In any case, if you are continuously seeing the problem, give me the URL and I will check it out.
