"Comma separator for decimal numbers"

Hello,

uShop applets only accept 1,000.00 format, but the 1.000,00 format is
used in many countries.

Can the thousand and decimal separators be changed in any way?

If not, it would be great as a new feature.

Regards.

Unfortunately, that is the way the JVM processes numbers floating point numbers - with a decimal separating the whole number from the fraction - and without any commas.

You can convert the number to a string changing the dot for a comma
before print it to the screen. It can be done using a subroutine.

Your international versions of ushop are incomplete if you don't show
the numbers in the correct format for every country. For example, MS
Excel (and any correctly programmed Windows application) visualizes
the decimal separator as a dot or as a comma depending on the regional
control panel values. I know that Java can't use OS values, but you
can set an applet value to print dots or commas, like the currency
simbol in the initialization applet.

Actually, there's a little more to it... relating to additional issues such as the use of commas as delimiters in various applets and other settings.
