"usgop_cgiscript.pl error"
Posted by Brian on Nov-09-99 at 12:30 PM (EST)
Charlie,
Thanks for your responce. Seems that I put one to many s' on the url that I left you the other day, sorry. Anyway, the problem seems to be on my computer not the cart. Next issue however, is that the ushop_cgisript.pl is not working for me. My server (NT4 with IIS4 and Activestate newest perl)does not require that I specify the path to perl. I have been to the trouble shooting page, faq, user manual, and now here. I get a generic server error message when I try to access the .pl file. I am fairly certain that the information I supplied for it is correct. If I specify a path to perl in this program and it is not reqired will this cause an error. If it will how do I comment it out or can I simply delete it. I have spoken to my ISP and relayed the information from trouble shooting section 1.5. They suggested that I get this new cgi script for nt. I have requested it twice now but no luck yet. Any other ideas most welcome.
Thanks,
Brian

Brian,

NT doesn't use the perl path. I usually leave it as usr/bin/perl and have no problem.

Good luck,

Brian...
The perl location "comment" will not have any effect on NT's ability to execute scripts if Perl has been configured properly on the server. NT uses file type to map .pl files to perl.

If you are still having problems, fire me off an e-mail and I'll see if I can give you a hand.
