"error 500"

Hi there,

I have something very strange. For one shop i still use version 2.x everything works fine untill last friday. My provider has update there system and after this the site isn't working any more. I have test everything but maybe you know what my provider has done width there system?

The following problem exist;
If a customer press the send button a error 500 show up. If i look inside the ./orders dir the order file has been made. So the first step of the order process is working ok. It looks like the second process (reading the orderfile) isn't working, but the chmod of ./orders is rwx rx rx 733 and also the rights of the order file are 733

No e-mail message is send to the owner or the customer, so there seems to be a read error.

Have you any idea what my provider has change? Because they can't find themself the problem.

Thank you for your help,
Marcel

The problem could be a couple different things... but since you mention that the order files are being written... but the order reader is not being able to read them... that does sound like a read permissions problem.

Are you sure the permissions on the files are readable? 733 is actually rwx-wx-wx ... which means the files just might not have READ permissions.

As a test, try setting the permissions of one of the order files to chmod 777 (full permissions)... and see if the order reader works. If it does, then we may be able to add a chmod... something like:

chmod(0777, $order_directory . $file_name);

... to the script to manually give the orderfiles the correct permissions.
