"Search2 applet processing"

Is there a way to set a default keyword for the search applet?

Is there a way to display a "No products found" type of message in the product frame when a search results in a null set?

Being able to do these things would make the system much more intuitive. I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Happy New Year!
Al

Unfortunately, there is no way to set a default search keyword nor is there a way display a "No products found" message (other than seeing the "Total Matches" indicator equal zero)... but I do like those suggestions. So we'll try to get them into an upcoming release. Thanks.
