I have read previous messages about applets graying out, but the solutions do not seem to work.

System was working fine under 3.15. Upgraded to 3.3 and applets grayed out.

CGI on the secure server side works well, diagnostics show using version 3.3 there.

Just the applet side that is not showing.

Thanks

I took a look at your site at:

http://www.adventistsaffirm.org/store/html/index.html

And saw that you are getting the following errors displayed in the Java Console:

1. "Applet exception: error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: uShopCartBase"

2. "Applet exception: error: java.lang.ClassFormatError: Wrong class name inside class file"

The first error indicates that you do not have all of the required class files on your server. In particular, you do not have the "uShopCartBase.class" applet located in your classes directory:

http://www.adventistsaffirm.org/store/classes/uShopCartBase.class

(results in "file not found") So make sure that you have put ALL of the uShop class files in your "classes" directory.

The second error indicates that you did not keep case-sensitivity when adding the applets to your HTML pages. That is, I noticed on the page above that you called your applets:

"ushopinput4.class"

and

"uShopOrderbutton.class"

When specifing the applet names, you must keep case-sensitivity, so change your HTML so that the applets are properly called:

"uShopInput4.class"

and

"uShopOrderButton.class"

And that will correct the problem.

Well, this worked; though I was sure that I had done what you stated, as you had stated the same instructions several times in the near past.

Anyway, thanks for the support.
