"link to a particular day?"

Should have asked this in the last question...

Can I link from a different page, so that someone automatically goes to a certain day or week?

That might be usable as well.

That can be done with a slight modification and by utilizing the following syntax:

To link to a specific date, you would want to setup a regular HTML link < A HREF .... > that links to the URL of the uReserve script with the following syntax added on to the URL:

?command=goto_date&date=01/01/2003

Where 01/01/2003 is the date that you want to go to... so the link might look something like this:

< A HREF="http://www.example.com/cgi-bin/ureserve.pl?command=goto_date&date=12/25/2002" > Christmas 2002 < /A >

NOTE: In order to use this sort of linking, you'll probably need to disable uReserve's "Referral Page Check" for the "goto_date" feature... via the following steps:

STEP 1: Make a backup of your current ureserve.pl script... just in case.

STEP 2: Open your ureserve.pl script with any text editor such as WordPad.

STEP 3: Do a search on the following line:

elsif ($command eq "goto_date")

STEP 4: About 2 lines down from there you will see the following line:

&validate_referral_page($script_url);

STEP 5: Comment that line out by adding a # in front of it:

#&validate_referral_page($script_url);

STEP 6: Save the script...as TEXT if your editor asks... and try it out!
