"mouseover for reservation text"
Posted by Ed on Jun-11-03 at 02:12 PM (EST)
Is there a way to have a mouse over that would show the "notes" or maybe just the time of a reservation when putting the mouse over the text? Instead of having to click on the text to get the pop up.

Thanks

Just to clarify... I mean the Reservation Information pop up window instead of "notes".

Check out our "Beach Resource" demo at:

http://www.uburst.com/cgi-bin/ureserve/ureserve_beach.pl

And note how if using an "image" for the reservation in symbol instead of the default "R", the image has the "ALT" setup such that it says "Reserved" when you mouseover the image.

You may be able to modify the "display_graphical" subroutine in the script so that the "ALT" that gets displayed, is whatever information that you want.

Do a search on:

alt=\"$reserve_image_alt\"

.... in order to see where that "ALT" gets set and maybe you can modify that code to display the time by changing that code to this:

alt=\"" . &format_time($begin_time) . "\"

I use the reserve indicator that show the name of the person not an image. Anyway to accomplish the same thing in that case?

Thanks

It is possible to tie an "onMouseOver" event handler to an HTML link.... So you may be able to modify the aforementioned "display_graphical" subroutine to add an "onMouseOver" JavaScript event handler to your reservation "name" HTML links.
