You said that you haven't encountered any report regarding slow respone on drop down menu. Here is an example.

http://members.home.net/twinscomputers then go to the link Configure Your PC.

Very slow response on all drop down menus, add buttons, and shopping cart delete buttons - when using IE 5.5.

No problem at all using Netscape 4.7.

Hope you know the solution. Thanks a lot.

Hello,

Forget about this question. I've fixed the problem by modifying the codebase. Thanks anyway.

Hello,

Sorry to bother you again. It appears that the problem occurs again with IE5.5. Still no problem with Netscape 4.7.

Please help.

Thanks.

Based on testing we have done with IE 5.5 and based on customer feedback, I can only recall one other person who mentioned having a slow response with IE 5.5. My guess is that the slow response that you were seeing was do to a resource shortage or some other general problem with your browser.

Anyway, if you want to make sure that it is not something with your HTML/configuration, then you may want to try out the applets in our online applet reference:

http://www.uburst.com/uShop/reference/applets.html

... and compare the drop-down response times with your pages.

Hello,

I have compared with your web site. It is also slow when compared with using Netscape. It showed the same slowness as my site.

As a matter of fact, I tested this using 3 different pc (one P-266, one P-133, one Celeron 400 and all with 128MB ram with no other applications running).

It may have something to do with IE5.5!

Well, as I've mentioned...Based on testing we have done with IE 5.5 and based on customer feedback, I can only recall one other person who mentioned having a slow response with IE 5.5. In fact, I just tried out the applets in our applet reference with IE 5.5 and they worked fine for me. So, I'm really not sure what sort of delay you are seeing or why you're seeing it.
