"Order Process, Illegal Referrer Page??"

Posted by Star-Music [star-music@cistron.nl] on at 08:53 PM
Hi!
After we submit the button "Begin Order Process"
we can review screen with Back and Continue buttons.
After clicking "continue" button we get the message;
"Illegal Referrer Page. The referring page did not meet security requirements.Press BACK To Continue".
We checked dubble checked the ftp uploading, checked the SSL and security works fine.

Where do we go from here?

Thanks and we hope to hear soon!

At that point in the order process, the script on the secure server is verifying that the URL of the previous "Referring" page was indeed a URL on your public server. If not, you get the "Illegal Referrer Page" message.

So take a look in your "ushop.pl" script and make sure that the URL that you have configured in question #3:

# 3. What is the URL of your website?
$store_url = "http://www.yourdomain.com/";

Corresponds with the domain name of where your class files are located.

For instance, if your class files are located at http://www.helloworld.com/classes/.... then you should have the $store_url in the script set to:

$store_url = "http://www.helloworld.com/";

To add a little more information to my posting above....

Also when verifying that $store_url in configuration question #3 of the ushop.pl script:

# 3. What is the URL of your website?
$store_url = "http://www.yourdomain.com/";

... Make sure that the URLs include (or don't include) the "www" .... depending on how you are referencing the classes directory on your site.

That is, if you are referencing the HTML pages and the class files on your site via a URL containing the "www" such as:

http://www.yourdomain.com

Then make sure configuration question #3 is set to:

$store_url = "http://www.yourdomain.com/";

While on the other hand, if you are referencing the HTML pages and the class files on your site via a URL without the "www" such as:

http://yourdomain.com

Then make sure configuration question #3 is set to:

$store_url = "http://yourdomain.com/";

So take a look into that and see if that resolves the problem.

Otherwise, you can temporarily turn "Referral Page Validation" off on the control panel under GENERAL SETTINGS - MISCELLANEOUS.... And then give me the URL and I will take a look at it (although I may have to get you to turn it back on again so that I can see the problem.)
