hello,

i have a question about the control panel
under GENERAL SETTINGS - EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS.
If i use in the email notification field
a break it don't appear in the email.
It looks like that the email message includes
no breaks ?
Whats the reason for ?

The reason for that is that as part of the user input validation that is performed on that "Email Message" field, all carriage returns are removed. This was necessary due to the way all configuration settings are stored in the settings.txt file....one setting on each line. If we allowed carriage returns in that field, then the format of the settings.txt file would be thrown off.

In general, just removing the carriage returns from that field is sufficient for most messages (such as "Thank you for your order.")... but I can see why you may want to have larger formatted messages at the bottom of the emails, so I'll add the ability to use carriage returns to our future feature wish list.

Until two weeks ago my email notifactions were great. I host email server went down and since then I have had problems with email text wrap.

I have tried changing the wrap settings, and the only thing I changed in the ushop.pl was the new email ip.

It leads me to believe it might be a different type of email server, but I am waiting until after busy season to mess up the .pl

Any ideas?

Hello Shawn,

Sounds very much like a server difficulty. Might want to recheck with your web host administrator and ask them the specifics on the new e-mail program. The majority of server e-mail programs are compatible with uShop (without a hitch) but sometimes there are quirks in the type of program being utilized. Ask what the name of your sendmail program is, and if it has any specific settings or configurations that need to be run through.

Wise to wait till after the busy season to make any modifications. ;)
